Does your family play board games? - My Husband Ate All My Ice ...

'Round these parts, we love board games. But it's really hard to find ones that all of us can play, without the adults feeling bored by a kid game, or the younger kids feeling left out because they can't figure out a game that is geared towards older kids.?

When I saw that Morphology Junior was suggested for ages 8+, I was a little skeptical about how much the younger kids would be able to participate, considering they are 2 and 3.5 years old. So, as always, I sat down and read the instructions first, so that I could continue to act like the all-knowing mother when we sat down to play the game.?

It comes with these pieces, and the game board, and 480 word cards:

Since the game comes with the instruction manual, I'm not going to give you a whole step-by-step, but basically, this is how it works:

You play on teams, and when it's your turn you become the 'morphologist'. You draw a card, and decide if you are going to use the easy or hard word on it, and whether or not you are going to use the clue on the card. Then, you have to use some of the game pieces to create an illustration of that word, so that your team can guess it before the time runs out. Sometimes, there are twists thrown in, like these:

Then, if your team guesses the word, you get to move your little frog further on the board. Our 9 and ?8 year old didn't have any problem with being able to play the game, although we sometimes had a little trouble guessing their interpretations. We just let our 3 year old be on whatever time he decided to be on at that moment, and try and help guess the words, and he was perfectly fine with that. Him and our 2 year old also sat and played with the pieces that we weren't using at the time.

Does your family play board games? What are some of your favorites? Morphology is one of the sponsors of the Better Than Black Friday Bash. Throughout October and November, I'm going to be doing reviews on some of this season's most awesome toy brands. Then, right before Black Friday, I'm having a huge giveaway event where you can win some things from the sponsors! Because nothing is better than Black Friday... except for getting things for free!

(AP) ? Florida went 0-for-October last season, with humbling losses to Alabama, LSU, Auburn and Georgia.

It bothered coaches and players for a year.

It motivated them, too.

A year later, the Gators have a chance to end the month with a division title.

"I like this better," coach Will Muschamp said. "So does everybody else."

Jeff Driskel threw four touchdown passes ? three of them after turnovers ? and the third-ranked Gators matched their win total from 2011 with a 44-11 drubbing of No. 9 South Carolina on Saturday.

The Gators avenged consecutive losses to the Gamecocks, including one a couple of years ago that ended with Steve Spurrier and his players celebrating a division title in The Swamp.

"We remember the feeling, how bad it hurt," center Jon Harrison said. "We even had guys getting emotional over it. We just used that as pure motivation to come out here and completely dominate this team."

Florida's latest whatever-it-takes win kept Muschamp's team undefeated and put it on the cusp of the Southeastern Conference's Eastern Division title. The Gators (7-0, 6-0 SEC) can clinch a spot in the league's championship game by beating No. 13 Georgia next week in nearby Jacksonville.

Florida won this one with turnovers, stellar defense and more halftime adjustments ? the kind of successful tweaks that are making Muschamp and his staff seem like the right fit in Gainesville.

The Gators finished 7-6 last season, barely avoiding the program's first losing season since 1979. The struggles had outsiders questioning whether Muschamp could get Florida back to national prominence.

He's got the team there now ? even if it hasn't always been pretty.

The Gators managed just 29 yards and two first downs in the first half against South Carolina (6-2, 4-2). But they led 21-6 thanks to three turnovers.

Loucheiz Purifoy knocked the ball out of Connor Shaw's hands on the first play. Lerentee McCray recovered, giving Florida the ball at the 2-yard line. Driskel hooked up with Jordan Reed on third down, putting the Gators up early.

It also was a sign of things to come for the Gamecocks, who had trouble holding onto the ball all afternoon.

Ace Sanders fumbled on a punt return that led to Driskel's second TD pass. He found Quinton Dunbar for a 13-yard score. Dunbar spun out of DeVonte Holloman's grasp before coasting across the goal line.

On the ensuing kickoff, Solomon Patton forced Damiere Byrd to fumble. Chris Johnson picked it up and nearly scored. He was stopped at the 1, setting up Driskel's third TD pass to Reed. Driskel faked a handoff and found Reed alone in the back of the end zone, which made it 21-3.

"I'd rather have 1 yard in front of me than 75," Driskel said.

South Carolina failed to generate much offense. In fact, the Gamecocks managed two field goal in the first half thanks to penalties and returned a blocked extra point for two points in the third quarter.

Shaw completed 9 of 20 passes for 72 yards. He was benched in the second half, replaced by Dylan Thompson. Thompson completed 8 of 20 passes for 83 yards, with an interception.

"Coach Spurrier told me at halftime we were going to make the change," Shaw said. "He told me I wasn't getting the job done. I was completely supportive of him. Bottom line today, we just didn't execute."

The Gators put the game away by scoring on all three possessions in the third quarter, getting a 6-yard TD run by Omarius Hines, a field goal and a 6-yard pass from Driskel to Frankie Hammond Jr.

They made South Carolina's defensive front, which dominated in the first half, look suspect. They also better controlled standout end pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney, who gave them fits early. And they kept South Carolina off balance with creative play-calling that included tight end Trey Burton in the wildcat.

"It was embarrassing for us, very embarrassing to lose," Spurrier said. "We've got to reevaluate a lot of our personnel and get players out there who really want to play for South Carolina. Two weeks ago, I wouldn't have thought this. We had a bad one today. LSU was bad (last week). This one was worse. We've got to regroup somehow."

Driskel completed 11 of 16 passes for 93 yards. Mike Gillislee ran 19 times for 37 yards. Reed caught four passes for 44 yards.

Florida's defense and special teams were much more impressive.

The Gators held South Carolina to 191 yards, including minus-1 in the third quarter. Marcus Lattimore, who didn't start because of a hip injury, ran just three times for 13 yards. And Florida dominated every aspect of special teams. In addition to the two forced fumbles, Kyle Christy had seven punts of at least 50 yards.

"We're on our way to being what Florida used to be, what Florida's known for," Harrison said. "We hope to accomplish that this season."

George Steinbrenner would've issued public apology

NEW YORK (AP) ? George Steinbrenner would have issued a public apology.

After leading the league in wins this year, the New York Yankees didn't just lose to Detroit in the AL championship series. They got swept in one of the more humiliating moments in the team's history.

The four-game wipeout made headlines ? A-Rod's benching, Derek Jeter's injury, Robinson Cano's slump. But it also revealed serious cracks in the foundation, showing a team full of aging All-Stars at the plate, in the field and on the mound that suddenly seems a long, long way from championship caliber.

"Obviously, we're all getting older," Andy Pettitte said Thursday night after the season-ending 8-1 loss to the Tigers.

Jeter broke an ankle near the end. Mariano Rivera busted a knee back in the spring. The Yankees transformed baseball's bruisers into the Bashed Bombers, closer to AARP years than MVP seasons.

Alex Rodriguez was so bad, the $275 million man was benched in three of nine postseason games and pinch hit for in three others, a possible prelude to a forced departure from pinstripes.

Yankees co-chairperson Hank Steinbrenner won't address A-Rod's future, saying "I'm not going to get into that at this point." But he does think too much blame is being directed at Rodriguez.

"So is it fair to accuse him of everything but the Kennedy assassination? No, it's not fair, but we'll see what happens from this point on," Steinbrenner said Friday.

Six key players didn't hit their weight, with Rodriguez joined by Cano, Curtis Granderson, Nick Swisher, Russell Martin and Eric Chavez.

His life already a soap opera off the field, A-Rod turned into daily fodder for on-field intrigue.

"It wasn't just one guy struggling," Rodriguez said. "It was a collective group, and it was a very unique situation."

Not quite. They floundered for two months, nearly blowing a 10-game lead in the heat of summer before holding off Baltimore on the final night for the AL East title.

Easily the oldest big league team at the season's start, they're on track to start next year with a 38-year-old shortstop with limited range coming off ankle surgery (Jeter), a 43-year-old closer returning from knee surgery (Rivera), a 37-year-old third baseman overpowered by right-handed pitchers (A-Rod), a 40-year-old left-hander who missed nearly three months because of a broken ankle (Pettitte) and a 38-year-old right-hander who topped the team in starts and innings (Hiroki Kuroda).

Their postseason star was a 40-year-old outfielder (Raul Ibanez), their center fielder struck out 195 times (Granderson), their left fielder played just 17 regular-season games because of an elbow injury (Brett Gardner) and their catcher hit .211 (Martin).

"It's difficult. It's disappointing. It's not where we want to be," general manager Brian Cashman said. "I'm very surprised."

Their .188 postseason batting average was the lowest ever for a team that played at least seven games. Rodriguez took the brunt of the blame.

Owed $114 million over the next five seasons, Rodriguez became the world's most expensive pinch hitter during the ALCS, a platoon player against left-handed pitchers on a team facing four righty starters.

"I've never thought about going to another team. My focus is to stay here. Let's make that very, very clear," he said. "Number two, I don't expect to be mediocre. I expect to do what I've done for a long time."

Yankees president Randy Levine joked in April with Miami Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria about the possibility of dealing A-Rod to his hometown team.

"Take him. Tell me what you're willing to do," Levine said before the pair laughed.

After this debacle, talk could turn serious. The Yankees likely would have to eat 50 to 75 percent of what Rodriguez is due, but they may focus on the millions saved rather than the millions spent.

Back in 1981, after the Yankees took a 2-0 Series lead against the Los Angeles Dodgers and lost four in a row, George Steinbrenner issued one of his most famous statements, saying: "I want to sincerely apologize to the people of New York and to the fans of the New York Yankees everywhere for the performance of the Yankee team."

Hal Steinbrenner, who succeeded his father as controlling owner, is less impetuous. He wants to get the team under the $189 million luxury tax threshold in 2014.

Sending one of their lineup's senior citizens to finish his career in Florida would be a start.

Proud of his accomplishments and in constant need of admiration, Rodriguez may hold his postseason putdown against manager Joe Girardi.

"As far as I know, we're OK," Girardi said. "It's not something I wanted to do. All of you know that. But I don't have any signals that he's mad at me."

A-Rod, as always, tried to say the right thing.

"If I do what I'm supposed to be doing, neither Joe or Cashman can bench me," he explained.

His stay in New York always was a marriage of money.

After giving A-Rod a record $252 million contract, Texas traded him to the Yankees after three seasons and even agreed to pay $67 million of the $179 million remaining ? an amount reduced by $21 million when A-Rod opted out of that deal following the 2007 season. Then the Yankees re-signed him to an even more massive megadeal, as much a weight on their payroll as his bat has become in the batting order.

Following the failure for the third straight year to win the World Series, there will be a slew of decisions. Exercising $15 million options on Cano and Granderson are a given, as is signing Rivera for 2013. They'll likely try to persuade Pettitte to pitch another year and attempt to re-sign Kuroda and possibly Ichiro Suzuki, whose bat was among the few with a sign of life.

Swisher seems set to depart and Ibanez could be one older player too many. Rafael Soriano, who filled in for Rivera, could turn down a $14 million salary for next year, terminate his contract and become a free agent.

"Every year the roster changes," Cashman said.

By now, the front office knows it needs an injection of youth. The wipeout may speed the turnover.

"We got a team of Hall of Famers, superstars," Cano said.

And by the time a player is almost certain of enshrinement in Cooperstown, it means the end is a lot closer than the beginning.

The Note's Must-Reads for Friday, October 19, 2012

The Note's Must-Reads are a round-up of today's political headlines and stories from ABC News and the top U.S. newspapers. Posted Monday through Friday right here at www.abcnews.com

Compiled by ABC News' Jayce Henderson, Amanda VanAllen, Carrie Halperin and Danielle Genet

COMIC RELIEF ABC News' Mary Bruce and Emily Friedman: " President Obama, Mitt Romney Trade Barbs, Jokes at Al Smith Dinner" Two days after their rhetorical brawl at the second presidential debate, Mitt Romney and President Obama faced off again tonight in a war of wit at the annual Al Smith dinner, poking fun at themselves and each other. "I'm pleased that the president is here," Romney joked at the top of his remarks. "We were chatting pleasantly this evening as if Tuesday night never happened." LINK

Wall Street Journal's Colleen McCain Nelson: " Obama, Romney Enjoy Some Comic Relief" President Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney shared a stage again Thursday night, but this time the candidates traded punch lines instead of political punches as they poked fun at themselves, at each other and the bruising presidential campaign. LINK

THE POLLS ABC News' Gregory J. Krieg: " Poll Suggests Romney Continues Surge" Mitt Romney continues his rise, according to a Gallup poll released today that suggests he has a seven-point national lead over President Obama. The tracking poll, which surveyed likely voters, put Romney ahead 52-45, Gallup said. LINK

The Hills' Julain Pecquet: " Romney all but erases Obama's polling lead on foreign policy" Mitt Romney has all but erased President Obama's lead on foreign policy issues in the aftermath of the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya, according to a Pew poll released Thursday . Obama's lead on foreign policy has plummeted by 11 points since the outbreak of violence in the Middle East that culminated with the death of four Americans in Libya on Sept. 11, according to Pew. LINK

PRESIDENT OBAMA USA Today's Richard Wolf: " Bill Clinton and Bruce Springsteen stump for Obama" President Obama's campaign rolled out two rock stars Thursday in the crucial swing state of Ohio, and only one is best known for his music. The Obama re-election campaign teamed former president Bill Clinton and rock legend Bruce Springsteen for a get-out-the-vote rally at Cuyahoga Community College outside Cleveland. LINK

USA Today's David Jackson: " Obama defends handling of Libya attack" President Obama defended his handling of the Libya attack during a mostly serious appearance Thursday on The Daily Show With Jon Stewart. Obama said security would be improved at embassies worldwide, and attributed changing stories of the attack to changing evidence. LINK

The Washington Times' Stephan Dinan: " Welfare spending jumps 32% during Obama's presidency" Federal welfare spending has grown by 32 percent over the past four years, fattened by President Obama's stimulus spending and swelled by a growing number of Americans whose recession-depleted incomes now qualify them for public assistance, according to numbers released Thursday. LINK

OBAMA VS ROMNEY The Boston Globe's Brian MacQuarrie: " In N.H., Obama blasts Romney" Seeking to build momentum after a solid debate performance against Mitt Romney two days ago, President Obama today continued a whirlwind tour of critical battleground states by urging a boisterous crowd of 6,000 supporters to turn their cheers into votes in 19 days. Under a canopy of brilliant fall foliage in a downtown park, Obama hit Romney on the Republican's job plan, taxes, energy, and women's issues in phrasing that often repeated, word for word, the arguments he made for reelection at the second presidential debate at Hofstra University. LINK

CAMPAIGN ISSUES Wall Street Journal's Keith Johnson: " Campaigns Clash Over the Future of Coal" Coal has improbably risen to become one of the top issues of the presidential campaign, with dueling ads about coal in swing states and attacks by each candidate on the other's position. The battle is escalating even though coal employment is just a shadow of what it was a few decades ago and its use in power generation is steadily declining, from 48% of U.S. electricity in 2008 to 38% in the 12 months ended July 2012. LINK

The Los Angeles Times' James Rainey: " Climate change activists beg more attention from Romney, Obama" With just 2 1/2 weeks left before election day, there's an urgency on all fronts in the presidential race. For activists, it's not just about whether President Obama or Mitt Romney will win, but whether either man will pay attention to their issue. Perhaps no interest community has been as disappointed as those who worry about global climate change. LINK

College Loans Could Cost Some Their Retirement ? CBS Boston

BOSTON (CBS) ? Paying for college is not only a problem for recent grads. Those big bills are staying with families for decades and it could wind up costing some their retirement.

?This is the most worried I?ve ever been, because of the college,? says Robin Curley of Milton. Robin and her husband, Ted, are looking at triple the trouble when it comes to paying off student loans. Their 19-year-old triplets all just started their freshman years at college. Derek is at UMass Amherst, Samantha is at the University of Tampa, and Justin is going to UNH.

When they graduate college in four years the Milton siblings each expect to have racked up at least $30,000 in debt. That?s on top of the $240,000 their parents plan to borrow.

?We don?t have a plan. How can I have a plan how to pay off $240,000? I still have a mortgage on this home,? says Robin. The Curleys are also unsure if they will ever be able to retire. And there?s reason to be concerned: of the $1 trillion in student loan debt here in the US, 40% is owed by people over 40.

At 62-years-old, Hazel Robinson, is also facing a mountain of debt: $109,000. Hazel found her calling later in life and earned her masters in social work only five years ago. She now counsels clients at the Pine Street Inn. It?s priceless work without a big paycheck. And while Hazel is happy to keep working well into her senior years, she is worried these student loans could cut into her Social Security. Thousands of checks are being garnished every year to help repay federal loans.

At American Student Assistance Mike Ryan works out repayment plans for struggling students at any age. ?It?s not uncommon now for folks to still be managing that 25 or 30 years after the debt was incurred,? says Ryan. But, that time frame doesn?t work for anyone nearing retirement.

Financial planners are adamant that even if you want to help your college-bound children you should take care of yourself first. ?We spend a lot of our lives thinking about our children. The Brotherhood Of Web Development And Web Designing

Miscellaneous Written by Anonymous ??Friday, 19 October 2012 06:05 On a broad scale, web development includes the process of web designing, as the development of a website will include the process of designing. But the skills that a professional needs for web development jobs are different than those for web designing work. Still we will say that it is a brotherhod of professionals as one cannot live without the other.

Like in a brotherhood, every member will have a defined role in the organization, so does every person in a web development organization. There will be developers as well as designers who will be skill-ready for professional work in their own domains. Like in a Venn diagram these domains may overlap at some functions but majorly remain different. They need to maintain an understanding of each other???s capabilities as well as roles.
The creativity and artistic streaks need to be showed in produced designs by a good web designer. The creative streak needs to be individualistic but the integration of the designs needs to be possible, and the designs should be attractive as well as productive. Then the role of a web development professional starts, the logic of these designs and integration into the website development procedure. The production and maintenance of the website will involve web development skills.

Very similar to human brain the web development and web designing are the two sides which together form a good website development organization. They need to work together with synchronization and understanding so as to reduce the work load and increase the throughput of the organization. If there is some communication gap or misunderstanding between the two teams then the resultant product will have a bad design as well as bad functionality.
The term web designing is generally given to the design process relating to the front-end (client side) design of a website including writing mark up, and this is the grey area which causes troubles in the brotherhood. As it is the responsibility of both the web designing and web development teams. The back-end (user side) is solely handled by the developer and the work is generally not seen by the client other than the functionality which the user will feel and observe.
The look is governed by the designer whereas the feel is governed by the developer. The user???s interaction while observing the graphics, images, designs, etc. is affected by the skill level of the web designing which has been done on the website. Whereas the client???s experience with the features, working, user-experience, etc. will be governed by the development teams skills. When both of them work in unity, they produce marvels which are a delight to the user as well as the client, to the customers as well as the customers of the customer.
In the world of website development, all the members need to work efficiently in order to bring smiles to the internet users. Brotherhood of web designers and developers has been united since the dawn of web services and will remain so till the internet survives.

Yahoo to exit South Korea in first Asian pullout

SEOUL (Reuters) - Yahoo Inc's South Korean operation said on Friday it will quit the country, underscoring its struggle against Google Inc and local competitors expanding aggressively into mobile advertising and online services.

South Korea is the first Asian country Yahoo is leaving, the firm said. An industry pioneer and household Internet brand, it has been overshadowed by global rivals including Facebook Inc and Google in recent years.

"Yahoo has faced several challenges in the past couple of years and decided to pull out of the (Korean) business to put more resources on global business and become more powerful and successful," Yahoo said in a statement.

Yahoo Korea, which started business in 1997 and is wholly owned by the U.S. search company, has around 200-250 employees in South Korea. It will terminate Korean online portal services in December, the company said.

In the South Korean market, it has failed to beat local rivals such as NHN Corp, Daum Communications Corp and SK Communications Co.

Yahoo appointed Google veteran Marissa Mayer as its chief executive in July, its third CEO in less than a year.

Former CEO Scott Thompson resigned after less than 6 months in the job over a controversy over his academic credentials.

Before that, Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang had stepped down as CEO, and an internal reorganisation cut thousands of jobs.

Yahoo remains one of the world's most powerful websites, with more than 700 million monthly visitors who use products like its email service and read its news pages.

DoCoMo?s Galaxy S III Features Galaxy Note II Like Multi-View Multitasking

The new multi-view multi-tasking implemented by Samsung in the Note II has bowled many people over. This hybrid of a phone and tablet device has won the hearts of many people with its software tweaks, despite its huge size and being panned by the critics.

Now, it looks like Samsung might just bring the multi-view multi-tasking feature to the Galaxy S III as well. The Japanese/DoCoMo variant of the Galaxy ?S III, which packs in a slightly faster 1.6GHz Quad-Core Exynos processor and 2GB of RAM, features the same multi-view multi-tasking feature as on the Note II.

?

It will be interesting to see whether Samsung decides to bring this feature to the international Galaxy S III or not. The I9300 variant of the S III already suffers from poor RAM management issue, and the multi-view multitasking feature requires oodles of free RAM to work smoothly and properly.

The U.S variant of the Galaxy S III contain 2GB of RAM, but packs in half the number of processing cores. If Samsung does not bring this multi-view multitasking feature to the International version of the S3, the chances of the feature making it only to the U.S variants are nearly zero.

Top 25 Most Endangered Primate Species Revealed

A tiny tarsier with a face like a Furby and a lemur that stands like a boxer when threatened are among the 25 most endangered primates in the world, the United Nations announced today (Oct. 15).

Indonesia's pygmy tarsier and Madagascar's northern sportive lemur are barely clinging on in the wild, according to the UN's new report, titled Primates in Peril: The World's 25 Most Endangered Primates, 2012-1014. The list includes nine Asian primate species, six from Madagascar, five from Africa and five from South and Central America.?

"Once again, this report shows that the world's primates are under increasing threat from human activities. Whilst we haven't lost any primate species yet during this century, some of them are in very dire straits," Christoph Schwitzer, the head of research at the Bristol Conservation and Science Foundation and an editor of the report, said in a statement.

"In particular, the lemurs are now one of the world's most endangered groups of mammals, after more than three years of political crisis and a lack of effective enforcement in their home country, Madagascar. A similar crisis is happening in South-East Asia, where trade in wildlife is bringing many primates very close to extinction," Schwitzer added. [In Photos: The World's Most Threatened Primates]

Of the 633 primate species on the planet, 54 percent are classified as at least threatened by extinction by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The animals on the top 25 list are in the most dire straits. For example, the northern sportive lemur (Lepilemur septentrionalis), which stands on its back legs like a boxer when threatened, has only 19 individuals living in the wild. In fact, 91 percent of Madagascar's 103 lemur species and subspecies are threatened with extinction, according to the IUCN.

The pygmy tarsier (Tarsius pumilus) was thought to be extinct until 2000, when one stumbled into a rat trap in central Sulawesi, Indonesia. In 2008, researchers confirmed the continued existence of the species by trapping three with nets and observing a fourth.

Primates are a boon for ecotourism as well as being crucial to tropical forest ecosystems, said Russell Mittermeier, the president of the environmental group Conservation International.

"They often serve as seed dispersers and help to maintain forest diversity," Mittermeier said in a statement. "It is increasingly being recognized that forests make a major contribution in terms of ecosystem services for people, providing drinking water, food and medicine."

There is some good news in the report, including the fact that no primate species went extinct in the 20th century, nor have any been declared extinct in the 21st century. Two species have been taken off the list due to recovery: India's lion-tailed macaque (Macaca silenus) and Madagascar's greater bamboo lemur (Prolemur simus).

Grace: How To Decide Which Home Improvement Project Comes First

Yesterday, we babysat for our friends.? They have two children, one who was born in May and one who is three, but is severely disabled.? So, it was going to be Vor and I v. three babies.? I knew we were outnumbered, so I tried to prepare the battle ground.?

I washed every dish I could find, and put away all dishes.? The dishwasher was cleaned out, and everything put away.? All toys were relocated to their proper locations, and all dog toys were removed from all baby toys and relocated to their proper locations.? The activity mat was re-set up for the three year old; the swing was brought down from upstairs for the 5 month old, and I set out a blanket for Lis to play on.? I filled up a shoebox with toys for Lis to sort through and dump; I placed the exersaucer in an optimal locations; I placed Lis?s runabout on the hardwood.? The changing station was fortified with extra diapers and wipes; all potential harbors for the enemy (re: things that are not SUPPOSED to be toys) were removed; diaper creams lined up.? Floors were swept, pack and plays were lined with soft blankets, beds were made for non-mobile children to sleep on.

I ventured into the bathroom and noticed the toilet paper was low.? I ventured to supply closet, where diapers, papers towels, wipes, toilet paper, the vacuum cleaner, etc is kept.? The toilet paper was on the bottom, under a huge box of diapers.? I tugged.? Stuck.? I tugged some more.? Still stuck, but the vacuum cleaner moved a bit.?

With a final tug, I freed the toilet paper.? The bag shot towards me and all 36 rolls of toilet paper exploded from the bag, no doubt as a result of my awesome muscles from my time at the gym.? They bounced into the bedroom, into the laundry room, down the hallway, into the kitchen.? Some unraveled.? The vacuum cleaner tipped violently, which knocked the box of diapers over.? They in turn spilled out all over the hall way, since of course, all the bags of diapers were open.?

At this point, the dog fled upstairs.

As I flailed about, trying wildly to keep the diapers and the rolls of toilet paper from escaping, I bumped the top rack, where the wipes and the papers towels reside.? Packages of Target wipes came raining down on me, hitting me with crinkly thuds, and rolls of paper towels bounced lightly off my head, arms, and shoulders. Hangers dislodged themselves from the rack and clattered down, intertwining as they went.

When it was all said and done, about 30 seconds had passed, and I had created 30 minutes of work for myself.? I was standing in a sea of diapers and wipes, toilet paper and paper towels, hangers and a vacuum cleaner in my hand.?

What I?m really trying to say is that the supply closet just moved up to the top of list for the plan to remodel areas of the house.? I want organizers in there before I ever open it again.?

(AP) ? A Hezbollah commander and several fighters have been killed inside Syria, a Lebanese security official said Tuesday, a development that could stoke already soaring tensions over the Lebanese militant group's role in the civil war next door.

Hezbollah's reputation has taken a beating over its support for the Syrian regime, but any sign that the group's fighters are taking part in the battle raises fears that the conflict could expand into a wider fight engulfing the region.

Hezbollah has stood by Syrian President Bashar Assad since the uprising began 18 months ago, even after the group supported revolts in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and Bahrain.

Assad's fall would be a dire scenario for Hezbollah. Any new regime led by Syria's majority Sunni Muslims would likely be far less friendly ? or even outright hostile ? to Shiite Muslim Hezbollah. Iran remains the group's most important patron, but Syria is a crucial supply route. Without it, Hezbollah will struggle to get money and weapons as easily.

The Syrian uprising has left Assad deeply isolated ? making his remaining allies such as Iran and Russia all the more important. At last week's gathering of world leaders at the United Nations, dozens of nations excoriated the Assad regime for its role in a conflict that activists estimate has killed at least 30,000 Syrians.

It was not immediately clear how the Hezbollah militants were killed or whether they had been fighting alongside the Syrian army. But Hezbollah's newspaper al-Intiqad said Hezbollah commander Ali Hussein Nassif, who is also known as Abu Abbas, was killed "while performing his jihadi duties." It did not say when or where he was killed.

A Lebanese security official said Nassif was killed in Syria and his body was returned to Lebanon through the Masnaa border crossing on Sunday. Speaking on condition of anonymity because he is not authorized to speak to the media, the official said the bodies of several other Hezbollah fighters have been brought back to Lebanon in recent days.

Hezbollah spokesman Ibrahim Moussawi on Tuesday confirmed the deaths of the Hezbollah members but said he had no further information on where or how Nassif was killed. He declined further comment.

The Syrian opposition has long accused the group of helping the Syrian leadership crack down on the uprising ? a claim the group has repeatedly denied. Hezbollah has to tread a careful path with its support for the regime, mindful that many of its supporters in Lebanon dread getting sucked into the conflict.

Nassif's funeral, which was held in the eastern town of Budai, near Baalbek, was attended by top Hezbollah officials including the head of the judicial council and the political bureau, an indication of Nassif's high prestige.

On Tuesday, Hezbollah's Al-Manar TV showed the funerals of at least two other Hezbollah members it said were killed while performing their "jihadi duty." Both funerals were attended by Hezbollah officials and commanders.

The coffins of the dead were draped with Hezbollah's yellow flags and carried by militants in black uniforms and red berets. Hundreds of people marched in the funeral.

Samer al-Homsi, an activist in Syria's central Homs province, which borders Lebanon, said Nassif was killed Saturday when a roadside bomb went off as the car he was in passed just outside the town of Qusair. He said Nassif and several other people were killed in the blast.

"His job was to coordinate with Syrian security agencies," al-Homsi said via Skype.

He added that the rebels detonated the bomb "without knowing" that the target was a Hezbollah official. "We knew he was a Hezbollah official after it was announced by the group in Lebanon," he said. Al-Homsi's account could not be independently verified.

Although Hezbollah's ties to Syria have stayed strong during the uprising, the government's longstanding relations with the Palestinian militant group Hamas have frayed.

Syria's state-run media unleashed a scathing attack on the leader of Hamas, accusing him of turning his back on Assad and describing him as ungrateful and traitorous.

In an editorial aired Monday, Syrian TV said Khaled Mashaal, who pulled Hamas' headquarters out of Damascus this year, had abandoned the resistance movement against Israel and the United States.

The comments show just how much ties between Hamas and the Syrian regime ? once staunch allies ? have disintegrated since the uprising began 18 months ago.

The regime's verbal attack appeared to be prompted by Mashaal's decision to take part in a major conference Sunday of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's ruling party. Erdogan has been one of Assad's sharpest critics.

Less than two years ago, Syria, Iran, Hamas and Lebanon's militant Hezbollah group were part of what they called an "axis of resistance" against Israel and the U.S. With Hamas' departure, they lost a major Palestinian faction that rules the Gaza Strip.

Hamas initially staked out a neutral position toward the uprising, but as the estimated 500,000 Palestinians living in Syria became increasingly outraged over the regime's brutal crackdown on protesters, Hamas came under pressure for its cozy ties with the government, prompting the group in February to shift its stance and praise Syrians for "moving toward democracy and reform."

Since then, most Hamas leaders have left Syria for Egypt, where their allies in the Muslim Brotherhood have taken power in elections following the uprising that toppled Hosni Mubarak. Egypt's new Islamist president, Mohammed Morsi, has been a strong critic of Assad, calling his government an "oppressive regime."

Mashaal himself shuttered Hamas' Damascus offices and now spends most of his time in Qatar, the tiny Gulf country that has strongly backed the rebels battling to overthrow Assad.

In its editorial, Syrian state TV sought to remind Mashaal, who holds Jordanian citizenship, of when he was expelled from Jordan in 1999 for "illicit and harmful" activities, and how several countries refused to welcome him after he was kicked out.

"Remember when you were a refugee aboard planes. Damascus came and gave you mercy," the station said. "No one wanted to shake your hand then, as if you had rabies."
