We have all seen movies and read dozens of hundreds of articles in newspapers and blogs on the net on a variety of phobias that people have in this world. Some are obvious, such as the common phobias such as fear of heights (acrophobia) and the fear of water (hydrophobia). But the question is that not all have phobias, or only some?

The answer to the question above is still too long especially since in most cases, people do not come by their phobias or are too ignorant to notice. An example could be a person afraid of a polar bear is his, for example. GM's Next-Gen Full-Size SUVs Due Out in 2013 With a Hefty Price ...

GM?s big SUVs harken back to an era of conspicuous consumption, when $2-a gallon gas and a lingering nostalgia of 15-foot-long American cars flooded the industry. But if the Volt is any indicator, the era of big, cheap Suburbans and Tahoes might finally come to an end with next generation trucks.

To meet new fuel economy regulations, General Motors will add a price premium to its line of full-size SUVs. Currently, the Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe get a combined average of 17-mpg. But new CAFE regulations will force GM to reach a company-wide average of 35.5-mpg by 2016, and there?s no time to waste.

As a result, GM?s next generation of full-size SUVs ?will be more expensive to engineer and build because of the need for lighter weight materials,? said Tracy Handler, an analyst at IHS Automotive. ?I expect prices to be higher.?

Sales of full-size SUVs have sunk like, well, a full-size SUV into a lake. From a high of over 1 million units in 2003 and 2004, sales of the Suburban, Escalade, Toyota Sequoia, Lincoln Navigator, and others dropped to 372,437 vehicles. There have been prior doubts to whether this would be the last time these squirrel crushing, deer smacking, driving machines would live to see next year, but GM is still committed to introducing them in 2013 as 2014 models: it is investing over $300 million in its Arlington, Texas plant for the next Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade.

?We have customers who need full-sized SUVs for work and play,? Chevrolet spokesman Mike Albano said. ?We will continue to provide a vehicle in that segment.?

Few people love talking about food more than Dan Pashman and Mark Garrison.

They're the guys behind the popular blog and podcast The Sporkful. Its motto: "It's not for foodies, it's for eaters."

"We like to appeal more to the universal audience," Pashman tells NPR's Rachel Martin. Foodies implies "a certain amount of pretension and expertise." Eaters, on the other hand, are pretty widespread. "We all eat, and we all enjoy eating."

With that in mind, we asked them to share some grill tips ? including how to grill an egg ? for this Memorial Day weekend.

The Perfect Burger

First things first: chuck is important. That means a fat-to-meat radio of between 80/20 and 75/25. "I'd say 82.5 is your sweet spot," Pashman says.

You can also visit your local butcher, Garrison says, and ask him for his favorite mix. "Just a little bit of salt, a little bit of pepper, and treat it well."

The key, they add, is to flip the burger just once on the grill ? and not to press it against the grill with your spatula. "With every flip," Garrison says, "you lose juices." Those juices taste better in the burger than on your coals.

As for cheese, you can't go wrong with good, old-fashioned American. Smoked Gouda can also work well, "but nothing overpowering," Garrison says. "You want the meat to be the star ? you want your cheese to be like a George Clooney: talented and good, but not someone who has to steal the show."

Condiments are a matter of taste. For any condiment, Pashman espouses the dipping method ? "on a per-bite basis. That allows you to regulate the amount of condiment per bite."

That, Garrison says, is a form of burger torture.

"Every condiment should be applied to the bun before the burger," he says. "I say do not dunk until the burger enters the crescent-moon phase."

I am famous for this recipe, but this is the first time I'm divulging it in print. For decades, people have wondered how I make my famous Cheeseburger with Cheese on the Bottom, which orients the cheese tongue-ward in order to maximize cheesy goodness. Ingredients

• 1 hamburger seasoned to taste (I recommend salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder)
• 1 slice cheese
• 1 hamburger bun

Directions

Place the hamburger on the grill and cook it. When the burger is nearly cooked to your desired temperature, place the slice of cheese on top of it. At the same time, place the bun halves on the perimeter of the grill, interior sides down, where they will get lightly toasted without getting burnt. (Do not use the grill's top rack for bun toasting, that only dries out a bun without really toasting it.) Close the grill so the cheese melts on the burger. When the cheese is melted, take the bottom bun and place it on top of the burger, so the interior side of the bottom bun is laid against the cheese, and the exterior side of the bottom bun is facing skyward. Remove the top bun from the grill and place it on a plate, upside down, so the interior side is facing skyward. Use a spatula to remove the burger and place it on the top bun on the plate. Now use your hand to flip the burger over, so the cheese is facing tongue-ward. Look at what you just created. Admire it. Eat it.

• 4 tablespoons ricotta cheese
• 4 teaspoons sun-dried tomato pesto
• 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan

Directions

Combine ingredients in a small bowl. Let the mixture come to room temperature. When burgers are ready, spread the mixture on both sides of a lightly toasted bun. Makes enough for 4-5 burgers.

Barbecued Eggs

Argentine engineering makes it possible to cook an egg over the coals without a mess, and you've never tasted eggs so smoky and delicious.

Ingredients

• 1 large bell pepper, the bigger the better
• 2 eggs
• hot sauce, salt and black pepper to taste

Directions

You'll need the bell pepper to sit stably on the grill, or else the raw egg will spill out and make a tragic mess. Place the pepper flat on your cutting board and slice in half parallel to the board. Scrape out the seeds and placenta (yup, that's really what it's called), being careful not to pierce the outer wall.

Crack an egg into each half of the pepper. Try to distribute the egg into the whole cavity.

Place the filled pepper over the hottest part of the grill. It tastes best with the pepper's skin charred. Close the grill. If you're going to eat it with a knife and fork, cooking it to over-easy is fine. But if you're going to serve it as finger food, cook it a bit longer, so you don't have a runny yolk. It's great on its own, but better still with hot sauce, salt and a little black pepper on top.

Ingredients

• provolone cheese, sliced about 3/4-inch thick
• 1 tablespoons oregano
• 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
• olive oil

Directions

Let the cheese slab sit and come to room temperature. Rub a thin layer of olive oil on it. Then press in oregano on both sides, adding red pepper flakes if you want a bit of heat.

The fastest and smokiest way would be to put it directly on the grill over the coals. But if you're a minute late pulling it off, you've got a gooey mess all over your grill. Best bet is to put a layer of aluminum foil over the grill, or watch it very carefully.

Cook it until it's a hot, gooey puddle of melty, cheesy joy. No need to flip it. Serve it hot with crackers, crusty bread or all by itself.

The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research now has charitable status in Canada, enabling Canadian researchers to join in Fox's hunt for a cure to the disease.

Mountain biking as a sport has been around for years. There has been a significant increase of late in the amount of female mountain bikers participating. Women of all ages have thrown the ?women are the weaker sex? belief to the wind. They are strong, they are committed and they are taking the mountain biking world by storm.

As men have been the more common riders in the past, more studies have centered on them and the risks they encounter while riding. One of the most significant risks is scrotal damage. This has raised questions recently as to whether women are in danger of damaging their bodies, specifically their reproductive systems.

While a great deal more research is needed, many women have decided that the health benefits (cardiovascular, strengthening, emotional empowerment, weight control, etc.) far outweigh the risks. While it can be dangerous, biking allows you to tone your body and strengthen almost every muscle, and it is fairly low impact compared to running. The most important part is being cautious. Having the proper equipment is imperative to a fun and safe mountain biking experience. Starting with the apparel, there are numerous sources for shorts, tops and shoes, tailored specifically to a woman?s needs. They are available in all price ranges and are a necessary part of safe biking. It goes without saying that helmets are still a must. As with male mountain bikers, one of the most common injuries is head injuries. Wearing a proper fitting helmet is your best defense. Finding the correct bike may be the most important step you can take in protecting yourself. Mountain bikes come in so many styles and designs, finding the perfect one for your body may take awhile, but it is necessary. Making sure that the seat of your bike fits perfectly should greatly reduce your risk of future complications as well as discomfort.

There are many groups that have popped up throughout the country to educate women on biking safety and how to prevent injury. One of these groups, the Women?s Mountain Biking and Tea Society or the WOMBATS as they are often dubbed can be a great source of information and support for avid female mountain bikers. They do not discriminate based on age, race or background, as long as you love to mountain bike. The internet is a great source of information regarding these groups. If there aren?t any groups nearby, why not start your own. Grab some of your female friends and find out if they would be interested in starting a club. You can advertise online on local bicycling forums and even at your local bike shop and sporting goods stores. It shouldn?t take long to find a few women who are looking to benefit from the physical and social aspects of biking.

With the proper equipment and training, you can ensure that you have the best possible riding experience and have the least chance of having problems down the line. Women of the world, go biking!

Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) has introduced a new tool to the social networking world using one of its strong suits: Gmail.

In the next couple weeks, Google will debut a feature for Gmail called the "People Widget." The widget will appear to the right of messages and display information about contacts, including recent messages, shared documents, calendar events, statuses and, perhaps most striking, photos. Users can use widgets to schedule group meetings and online chats.

The widget will be rolled out in the next two weeks.

Google has been continually updating Gmail with more functionalities and new add-ons. The People Widget helps make it easier to connect with contacts by consolidating multiple Google features, including Google Buzz and Docs, directly next to the Gmail message, according to the company.

Another connected feature is phone calls conducted through Google Voice. The widget's capabilities are similar to an existing Gmail add-on called "Rapportive," which connects with Facebook. Google did not note any connectivity between widget and other social networks.

Google did not respond to a TechNewsWorld request for further comment by press time.

A Very Useful Business and Personal Tool

One of the strong features of the widget is its trail of previous communications with an individual contact. This could be a nice touch for anyone who has scrambled to find old-but-pertinent emails while talking with a business contact.

"It gives you a social history of the person you're communicating with," Rob Enderle, principal analyst at the Enderle Group, told TechNewsWorld. "It's one of the more advanced communication features Google has produced. This is base-level contact management. It's the type of system a service person might use for corresponding with a customer . This hasn't been available for individuals until now.

"It has some very useful business benefits as well as personal benefits," added Enderle. "It allows you to better manage your relationships .This is particularly helpful for those us who are aging and need help remembering things."

"To the extent that this can be done with a low 'creep factor,' then it should be a net plus to the user experience," Al Hilwa, program director, applications development software at IDC, told TechNewsWorld. "I don't see this is a head-to-head move versus Facebook, but any company that is sitting at a large list of authenticated users should try to bring them together in some way and discover synergies.

The widget is essentially about socializing user interfaces and creating value for both users and the company that is providing free services, Hilwa noted.

Google Goes Social

The People Widget could be the beginning of additional social connectivity within Google, especially if it becomes popular. "This plays into Google's social aspirations heavily -- they're building on their current technologies to create a more social experience," Steven Savage, technology project manager and Geek 2.0 blogger, told TechNewsWorld. advocates in each metro area can use the AFI data report to easily
identify their strengths and areas of opportunity.?

?There are no quick fixes when it comes to improving the health of an
entire metro area,? Dr. Wesley Wong, a member of the AFI advisory board,

Here's How Much Scotty and Lauren Made from American Idol

Which judge do newly crowned American Idol Scotty McCreery and his girlfriend runner-up Lauren Aliana love the most?

Randy Jackson? No way, dawg. Jennifer Lopez? Wrong again. And we'll save you the time?it's not Steven Tyler, either.

Instead, it's Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Marjorie Steinberg, who had the task of approving the winner and runner-up contracts for this season's American Idol finalists ahead of last night's show, an unusual tactic, but a necessary one this year as both remaining competitors were minors.

But enough about that?how much are Scotty and Lauren taking home for their Idol runs?

As expected, 17-year-old McCreery gets the title and the most pocket change, as his winning recording contract will pay him $250,000.

But it's not just money for the winner?he's in for some posh perks, as well, and will be provided with first class travel and hotel accomodations for him and his parents.

And since he's a minor, certain allowances have been put in place for his best interest: Idol must deduct 15 percent of his earnings until he's 18 and place that money in a trust for the singer; his parents, Judith and Michael McCreery, were named custodians of it. The contract also states that McCreery signed an exclusive deal with 19 Records and that, among his other obligations, he must participate in an Idol-themed stage show with Disney Hollywood Studios and go on the now-standard post-season American Idol tour.

As for Aliana, the teen will take home a little less than a third of McCreery's pay, as the second-place spoils total up to $87,500. However?and here's the good news for Lauren and her accountants?that figure could double up to a not-too-shabby $175,000 if when she actually records an album.

So how do their paydays rank in the grand scheme of reality show paydays? Well, for placing second on American Idol, Lauren could still wind up richer than whoever tops The Voice, as the grand prize in that upstart program is just $100,000. But they all pale in comparison to The X Factor, as Simon Cowell has promised the winner an astounding $5 million contract.

His shirts may be snug, but nice to know his pockets aren't.
