Looks like Mary McCormack needs some space. The In Plain Sight star stepped out with husband Michael Morris on Saturday, Oct. 26, for the first time since Morris was caught kissing Smash actress Katharine McPhee -- and though they were separated by only a few feet, the distance between them was evident.

Clad in gray skinny jeans and a black top, McCormack, 45, left a noticeable gap between herself and her husband as they exited an office building in L.A. She kept her eyes hidden behind a pair of sunglasses, and her left hand (and ring finger) tucked discreetly into the pocket of her pants.
Morris, meanwhile, was very clearly wearing his wedding ring. Like his wife, he wore dark shades, along with a black sweater and jeans.
The tense outing came just a few days after photos emerged of the Smash director making out with former series star McPhee in a parking lot. According to the New York Post's Page Six, McCormack allegedly ejected Morris from the home they share with their three young kids shortly before the scandal broke.

McPhee, for her part, is also married, but sources told Us Weekly she and husband Nick Cokas have been separated for several months. Which is not to say her situation is easy.
"She is SO embarrassed she was caught," one insider told Us of the American Idol runner-up, 29. "She should have known better."
