As stated by zdnet.com, summary: Apple has hit out at Samsung for failing to provide it with source code of its patent infringing product in a timely fashion, after it was ordered by a court to do so.

In a court document filed yesterday, Apple reportedly accused Samsung of only partially complying with a court order requiring the Korean handset maker to provide source code for the products involved in a patent suit, according to Bloomberg.

The same court also threw out a swipe to unlock patent case Apple filed against Samsung.

But theiPhone maker has contended that it needs to examine the source code for all versions of the products in question in order to prepare for an August 25 court case.

The suit, according to Reuters, alleges that Apple has infringed on its patents with the iPhone 4S and iPad 2, washingtonpost.com reports.

Apple has actually asked permission from the bankruptcy court to sue Kodak, alleging further patent infringement beyond cases it has already brought against the company, as reported by appleinsider.com.

Earlier this month, a judge in Germany dismissed two lawsuits, one from Apple claiming that Samsung violated a slide to unlock patent and another from Samsung alleging that Apple had violated a patent over 3G/UMTS functionality.

Samsung Electronics Co said on Wednesday it has filed another lawsuit against Apple Inc in South Korea, claiming the iPhone 4S and iPad2 infringed on three of its patents, as stated by reuters.com.

But the legal battle continues merrily on as both companies await further interim decisions before squaring off for their major courtroom showdown in August.
