Toshiba says its Willpos C10 (right) is an all-in-one POS device that, thanks to a choice of color panels, can blend into "even the most chic shops and restaurants." With an optional five-hour battery, it can also be employed in fruit stands or other locations where wiring is impractical, the company adds.
The Willpos C10 has a 10.4-inch touchscreen (resistive, we presume) that's said to be drip- and splash-proof, though Toshiba didn't specify what standards it's compliant with. The device is also available with an optional 20 x 4 customer display, as pictured below left, according to the company.

The Willpos C10 includes an integral printer (left) and optional customer-facing display (right)
Toshiba says the Willpos C10 has an integrated thermal receipt printer (above right). Like most other POS devices, the computer also has a 24V cash drawer interface, and its specs also include five USB 2.0 ports (one front-facing, four at the rear), a gigabit Ethernet port, a serial port, and a VGA port for a secondary display.
According to Toshiba, the Willpos C10 has a mono speaker and connectors for a microphone input and line output, plus an SD slot. There's no built-in wireless networking, despite the optional battery, but a USB-based Wi-Fi adaptor is an available option, according to the company.
The fanless Willpos C10 features the 1.6GHz Atom N450 processor, 1GB of RAM (expandable to 2GB), plus a 2.5-inch bay that may be equipped with either a hard disk drive (160GB and up) or a solid state disk (32GB and up), Toshiba says. There's also an optional magnetic stripe reader, the company adds.
According to Toshiba, the Willpos C10 runs SUSE Linux Enterprise 11, Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Embedded for Point of Sale (WEPOS), Windows Embedded POSReady2009, Windows 7 operating systems.
