Articles 20VN | Get More Readers By Changing Categories ...

Do you ever wonder why certain articles do better than others when it comes to attracting readers?

Yes, some of that has to do with their quality, but I believe this is only a remote reason.

Most articles deserve to be read, I'm sure you'll agree, but why aren't they?

In a recent piece I mentioned that changing titles can have a big impact. Humans are creatures of first impression, and if titles don't grab us right away, we'll mosey on to something else.

Improve your titles and you'll improve readership.

But just as significant, as I see it, is placing your articles into the most appealing categories.

Let's say you have an article that is titled: "How To Stay Positive, Come What May!"

It pertains to everybody, right?

You could place it in the Self-Improvement area at an Ezine, and it should get some readers.

Put it into the more specific slot, Self Improvement: Positive Attitude; and you'll get even more visitors.

Or, if it's not doing well there, come back to it in a few days, weeks or even months, and insert it into the Sales category.

Sellers are always challenged to stay positive and to bounce back from rejections.

If you want your articles to be read by more folks, try to be more systematic about finding the best niches for them.

For instance, if you wrote this one, "When Is It Right To Lie?" and you put it under Ethics, I assure you you'll find few takers because, sadly I suppose, this category isn't frequented by many readers.

Put it under Dating, and you'll enjoy a larger and definitely more enthusiastic audience.

If you aren't getting the readers you want, change categories!

Why settle for less?
