It is human nature and no embarrassment that we look for the easiest way to acquire something. In the example of having something such as a canoe at our disposal, rather than even consider buying the necessary parts and building it ourselves, we would search through the nearest catalogue or log on to the first link on our search engine that can sell us a ready-made boat that can be delivered to us. However, as you will already know if you have done this yourself, buying a readily built canoe is outrageously expensive. So, what does that leave us to do?
It has become a common misconception that DIY building is a bad thing. Not only is it known to be strenuous and tricky, but many people have their very own story of a hazard which has developed as a result. As such, many have forgotten the greater aspects of making something from scratch. Believe it or not, building a canoe can be one of the most rewarding DIY experiences known today.
